The Harley-Davidson VRSC (V-Twin Racing Street Custom), or V-Rod, was a line of V-twin Muscle Bikes, produced by Harley-Davidson® from 2001 until 2017. It is notable as the first Harley-Davidson® street motorcycle to feature a modern engine with DOHC and with liquid cooling
Open to All Harley-Davidson® V-Rod Motorcycles. The Harley-Davidson® V-Rod, Engine is a 60 degree, Overhead Cam, Water-Cooled, V–Twin. Harley-Davidson® V-Rod Motorcycles produced from 2002 – 2017.
The V-Rod Class is an E.T. Bracket Class run on a .500 Full Tree. It will be an all run field and will qualify for eliminations based on reaction times from second round qualifying.
Class Designation: “V/R” followed by Bike Number.
V-Rod Qualifying Procedure:
All entries in the V-Rod Class will run round one and two of qualifying on a random pairing basis. After Round Two an Elimination Ladder will be produced based on riders reaction times from round two.

The V-Rod Class will be a Points Class at all CTMDR Events except including The ALL Star Race. The V-Rod Class is a Points-Earning Class and at the end of the season a Champion will be crowned. Riders it is your responsibility to monitor and make sure points awarded to you are correct after every event. All requests for points adjustments must be made in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org within thirty days of the points posting for the event in question. Give us an accurate description on your concerns.
Please understand CTMDR will strive to keep the points tabulations for all classes accurate and correct and we hope by you monitoring your own points earnings, any errors we have made will be corrected quickly. *** After 30 days no adjustments will be considered.
Requirements and Specifications
Engine: V-Twin Only 60 degree, overhead cam, water- cooled, V–Twin cylinder configuration engines are allowed. Engine case and cylinder heads must be OEM type and available to the general public. Internal modifications are legal. Engine must maintain steel crankshaft and connecting rods. Cylinders must be stock appearing. All engines must be naturally aspirated and all air and fuel must be delivered through an OEM supplied EFI unit. Crankcase and all tanks containing fluids must have vent tubes routed to catch can or have a non-spill breather system on motorcycle.
Fuel: Gasoline or Alcohol. ** No Nitrous oxide allowed.
Drive Train: Must have chain or belt guard for primary and secondary drives.
Transmission: Transmission must be stock appearing. Internal modifications are limited to back-cut, clearance and lightening operations. Automatic transmissions are not allowed.
Clutch: The rider’s hand or foot must manually control the shifting device. Air and electro-magnetic shifting devices are allowed. Slipper clutches are not allowed. Lock-up clutches are allowed. The stock clutch cover must be retained, but it may be altered or spaced to allow clearance for the clutch hat. Alterations to the clutch cover must be made in a good workmanship like manner and shall maintain the “stock” appearance.
Brakes: Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes are mandatory and in good working condition.
Controls: Handlebar controls must be located in safe, workable position. All controls must meet or exceed OEM equipment standards. Snap-back throttle return mandatory.
Suspension: Front suspension must be stock appearing for model and OEM supplied or OEM type replacement. Fork tube angle must be stock. Internal modifications are legal. Travel limiting straps are not allowed. Rear suspension may be strutted.
Frame: Only stock, production or stock type production frames. OEM frames for licensed street motorcycles are allowed. No modifications to the rake angle is allowed.
Ground Clearance: Minimum of 2 inches with rider on motorcycle and 10 PSI minimum in the rear tire (includes exhaust and kickstand).
Tires: DOT Motorcycle Tire. Tires must have 2/32” of tread on front and rear.
Slicks: Slicks are allowed and must fit under the Fender
Wheelie Bars: Wheelie bars are allowed with slicks.
Wheels: Stock OEM wheels or aftermarket performance wheels.
Body: Stock or aftermarket fenders, headlight, and gas tank (or shell) are required. All other fairings and panels must be stock appearing and securely mounted.
Fairing: Stock OEM or Stock Type fairings only.
Seat: Stock OEM or seat with a step to prevent the rider from sliding backwards. (Motorcycle must have a manufactured seat on it.)
Ignition: Any ignition system is allowed. No delay boxes or electronic throttle stops.
Charging System: Charging system must be present and in working order.
Starting System: Electric on board starters are required. No jump-starts from an external battery are allowed in the staging lanes. No rollers. No push starts. No dry hops in pits.
Control Switches: Must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner. Must have an emergency working kill switch of some kind. Factory type switches are acceptable.
Computers: Only data gathering computers are allowed.
Lights: Headlight can be for looks only. Taillight and brake light must be in working order for safety purposes.
Tech: All motorcycles must pass tech in before practice. Motorcycle, rider and his protective gear must be present at tech area. Tech official will have final say on any unclear rule or equipment.
Helmet – Full coverage helmets only! Must be Snell-2000 or ECE 22.05 or helmet approved by tech Eye protection is required. Protective Clothing – Leather jackets, full-finger leather gloves and hi-top leather shoes or boots. Riders exceeding 120 mph must wear full leathers. Safety is very important – Please Be Safe.
