Pro V-Twin

Pro V-Twin  ( .400 Pro Tree – All Run Field)
The Pro V-Twin Class is open to all configurations of twin cylinder street bikes and modified street bikes.   The Pro V-Twin Class, is open to both import and domestic and is designed to give twin cylinder racers a completely separate class to run against each other absent of four-cylinder entries.    All Harleys – Panheads, Knucklehead, Shovelheads, Evo’s, Indian, All Bikes with S& S Motors, ALL V-Twins from all manufactures are welcome to race in this class.

*** Motorcycle must be ridden under it’s own power to staging, starting line and back to the pit area after completion of the run (no towing allowed except for verified breakage after the conclusion of a run).

.400 Pro Tree Format – All Run Field – Any Cubic Inch – DOT Street Legal Tires and Slicks with Wheelie Bar – Tail Light – All V-Twins Welcome.

ALL Racers, Beginners to Pros & ALL Motorcycles Are Welcome. ** Membership in CTMDR is not required to participate (race) in any of the CTMDR Races.

Racing Format:
The Pro V-Twin Class is run on a .400 Pro Tree.   All entries in the Pro V-Twin Class will run round one and two of qualifying on a random pairing basis.

Designation:    PVT  followed by rider number.

Pro V-Twin Qualifying Procedure:
All entries in the Pro V-Twin Class will run round one and two of qualifying on a random pairing basis.   After Round Two of qualifying Racers line up in the left or right side of the lane your class is called to on a random pairing basis until were down to 16 bikes.

Buybacks  —  1st Round Buybacks Only

The class will qualify a 16-bike field and place them on a Pro ladder.

Pro Ladder Parings:    Once we get down to 16 bikes or less, the class will be placed on a Pro Ladder based on reaction time from the previous round.   Once the ladder is generated, lane choice is given to the rider with the better qualifying position.   16 – 8 – 4 – 2 – Winner.

Entry Fees / Payouts:
Entry Fee / Payout go to:  CTMDR 2019 Entry Fee – Payouts    **** Trophies and Payout to the – Winner – Runner Up – Semi.

Engine:   Any Cubic Inch

Fuel:    Gasoline, Alcohol and Nitrous allowed.   No Propylene oxide.

Frame:    Any frame, Street or Drag Frame and frame material is legal.

Suspension:    Front suspension minimum travel of 2 inches.

Ground Clearance:    The motorcycle must have a minimum of 2” ground clearance with rider sitting on the bike.

Brakes:    Front brakes and Rear Brakes are required

Chain Guards:  Required Primary & Rear Drive.

Electrical:    2-steps are permitted.   delay boxes and electronic throttle stops are prohibited and must be disconnected or removed.

Ignition:  Any Stock or Aftermarket Ignition system is allowed.  Computers: only data gathering computers allowed.

Control Switches:   Must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner.   Must have an emergency kill switch of some kind on all motorcycles.

Controls:   Handlebar controls must be located in safe, workable position. Foot pegs and foot controls must be located in safe, workable position and must be mounted in a safe, craftsman-like manner.

Lights:    Tail Light

Transmission:   Must be based transmission, modifications are legal. Must have based clutch, any modifications are legal. Belt drives are legal. Rear wheel drives may consist of any ratios and materials.

Clutch:    Manually operated air shifters or electric engine kills are allowed.   No slipper clutches allowed.   Aftermarket slider clutches prohibited.

Tires:   DOT Street Legal Tires.  Slicks are allowed

Wheelie Bars;    Wheelie Bars are Allowed

Wheels:   Stock OEM wheels or aftermarket performance wheels.   Any size is legal.

Body:    OEM fenders and gas tank, or custom fenders and gas tank are allowed but must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner.   Shells are legal.   Rear fender must cover the width of the rear tire and extend beyond the vertical center line of the rear axle.

Fairing – Allowed.

Seat:  —  All motorcycles must have a seat securely mounted

Tech:   All motorcycles must pass tech before practice.   Motorcycle, rider and their protective gear must pass tech.    Tech official will have final say on any unclear rule or equipment.

General Safety:
Helmet – Full coverage helmets only!   Must be Snell-2000 or ECE 22.05 or helmet approved by tech Eye protection is required. Protective Clothing – Leather jackets, full-finger leather gloves and hi-top leather shoes or boots. Riders exceeding 120 mph must wear full leathers. Safety is very important – Please Be Safe.
