Harley-Davidson® has released their first all new Big Twin in 18 years – and it is a beauty.   The Harley-Davidson® Milwaukee-Eight engine is the ninth generation of “Big Twin” engines.    This is the Big Twin that will power Harley-Davidson’s future on the Street and in Racing.     About The M-8 Engine

M-8 Street:
M-8 Street (E. T. Bracket Racing Format, .500 Full Tree)
Open to All Harley Davidson Motorcycles or Harley Davidson Trikes win a M-8 Engine.   The M-8 Street Class is designed to give M-8 Engine owners / racers a completely separate class to run against each other in an all racing field.    All three engines are run in this class.   Top Speed Trophies will be awarded to the fastest 107, 114 and the 117 engine in each race.

Racing Format:
The M-8 Street Class is an E.T. Bracket Class run on a .500 Full Tree. It will be an all run field and will qualify for eliminations based on reaction times from second round qualifying.

Class Requirement:
Designation: M-8 followed by rider number.

M-8 Street Qualifying Procedure:
All entries in the M-8 Street Class will run round one and two of qualifying on a random pairing basis. After Round Two an Elimination Ladder will be produced based on riders reaction times from round two.

Points / Entry Fees / Payouts:
M-8 Street ET  —  Rider & Bike is included in the Entry Fee.   Awards At Present = 1st Round Top Qualifier, 3rd Round Top Qualifier, **** Trophies and Payout to the – Winner – Runner Up – Semi.

Top Speed Specialty Trophies:
One (1) Top Speed Trophy will be awarded to the fastest 107, 114 and the 117 engine in each race. Each racing entry has the opportunity to win this trophy. The fastest speed turned in for each engine size either during racing or during T & T is accepted.
Top Speed 107 Engine – All HD models
Top Speed 114 Engine – Some Softails and all Touring and Trike models
Top Speed 117 Engine – CVO models

The M-8 Street Class will be a Points Class at all CTMDR Events except Grudge Races and The ALL Star Race. The M-8 Street Class is a Points-Earning Class and at the end of the season a Champion will be crowned.    Riders it is your responsibility to monitor and make sure points awarded to you are correct after every event. All requests for points adjustments must be made in writing to within thirty days of the points posting for the event in question.    Give us an accurate description on your concerns.

Please understand CTMDR will strive to keep the points tabulations for all classes accurate and correct and we hope by you monitoring your own points earnings, any errors we have made will be corrected quickly. *** After 30 days no adjustments will be considered.

Engine:   Open to ALL Street legal and Non-Street legal Harley Davidson M-8 Motorcycle Engines.

Fuel:   Gasoline Only

Frame:   Harley Davidson Frames Must be Street Leal and pass Tech Inspectors approval for safety.

Suspension:   Harley Davidson Factory or Factory type aftermarket suspension.

Brakes:   Factory Brakes, Front and Rear Brakes are required on all bikes entered and must be in good working condition. .

Ignition:   Factory Ignition. Computers: only data gathering computers allowed.

Controls:   Harley Davidson Factory

Lights:   Harley Davidson Factory

Transmission:   Harley Davidson Factory

Clutch:   Harley Davidson Factory or Performance Factory type clutch

Tires:   DOT street tires only are permitted. All tires must have visible tread.

Wheelie Bars;   NO Wheelie Bars

Wheels:   Stock OEM wheels or aftermarket performance wheels.

Body:   Stock OEM fenders and gas tank, or custom fenders and gas tank are allowed but must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner.
Seat: Stock OEM or aftermarket seat

General Safety:
Helmet – Full coverage helmets only! Must be Snell-2000 or ECE 22.05 or helmet approved by tech Eye protection is required. Protective Clothing – Leather jackets, full-finger leather gloves and hi-top leather shoes or boots. Safety is very important – Please Be Safe.

All motorcycles must pass tech before practice. Motorcycle, rider and his protective gear must pass tech. Tech official will have final say on any unclear rule or equipment.
