The 50’s, 60’s and 70’s brought about a massive change to the Motorcycle Drag Racing World.   When mechanics and riders modified their engines, frames, swing arms and added wheelie bars.  Some event adding two or three engines to a custom made racing frame and their creations were not only fast but were crowd drawers at the Drag Strips.   We welcome all two and three engine bikes and all the Panheads, Knuckleheads, Shovelheads, Triumphs, BSAs, Nortons, Kawasaki, Hondas, Yamaha, Suzuki, BMW’s and Custom Racing Machines back to the track.    Enjoy these beautiful Modified Vintage Drag Bikes racing again like in the past. This is Motorcycle Drag Racing History Still Running.

Racing Format:
The B-Vintage Drag Bike Class is run on an 1/8th Mile – All Run Field – Heads Up – 400 Pro Tree with qualify for eliminations based on reaction times during the second round of qualifying.

Class Requirement:
Designation: B/V followed by rider number.

B-Vintage Drag Bike Class Qualifying Procedure:
All entries in the B-Vintage Drag Bike Class will run round one and two rounds of qualifying on a random pairing basis. After Round Two an Elimination Ladder will be produced based on riders reaction times from round two.

Awards At Present = 1st Round Top Qualifier. 3rd Round Top Qualifier. **** Trophies and Payout to the – Winner – Runner Up – Semi.

Points:
The B-Vintage Drag Bike Class will be a Points Class at all CTMDR Events except The ALL Star Race. The B-Vintage Drag Bike Class is a Points-Earning Class and at the end of the season a Champion will be crowned. Riders it is your responsibility to monitor and make sure points awarded to you are correct after every event. All requests for points adjustments must be made in writing to ctmdracing@gmail.com within thirty days of the points posting for the event in question. Give us an accurate description on your concerns. Please understand CTMDR will strive to keep the points tabulations for all classes accurate and correct and we hope by you monitoring your own points earnings, any errors we have made will be corrected quickly. *** After 30 days no adjustments will be considered

Engine:   Design to Period 1973 back is allowed in B-Vintage Drag Bike Class.

Fuel:   Gas, Alcohol and Nitrous allowed. No propylene oxide.

Fuel Delivery:
Carburetor only no fuel pumps. Air and fuel must enter through carburetor only.

Frame:
Any style frame stock, modified or custom is legal. Custom Frames for Two or Three Engine Racing Bikes are Welcome. Must pass Tech Inspector approval for safety.

Breaks:    Any Break System is allowed. Must be in good working condition.

Clutch:   Any style clutch is permitted. (No clutch cannons)

Transmission:
Can run any stock, single speed or multi 2-3 gear trannys or after market transmissions. Belt drives are legal. Rear wheel drives may consist of any ratios and materials..

Ignition:    Any ignition system is allowed.

Computers:    Only data gathering computers allowed.

Control Switches:
Must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner. Must have an emergency kill switch on all motorcycles.

Controls:
Handlebar controls must be located in safe, workable position. Foot pegs and foot controls must be located in safe, workable position and must be mounted in a safe, craftsman-like manner

Tires:
DOT tires that will pass safety inspection. Slicks no larger than 10 inch wide permitted.

Wheelie Bars:   Yes — Wheelie bars are permitted

Body:
Any gas tank is allowed but must be mounted and constructed in a safe, craftsman-like manner. Rear fender must cover the width of the rear tire and extend beyond the vertical centerline of the rear axle.

Fairing:  – Allowed.

Seat:    All motorcycles must have a seat of some kind securely mounted.

General:
A rider may only enter one bike in this class, and that bike may only be entered one time in this class.

Tech:
All motorcycles and riders must pass all safety rules and tech before practice. Tech officials will have final say on any unclear rule or equipment.

General Safety:
Helmet – Full coverage helmets only! Must be Snell-2000 or ECE 22.05 or current helmet requirements approved by tech. Eye protection is required. Protective Clothing – Leather jackets, full-finger leather gloves and hi-top leather shoes or boots. Riders exceeding 120 mph must wear full leathers. Safety is very important – Please Be Safe.
